Overview
The District Sales Manager is the main contact between the dealer network and Suzuki Canada for all sales matters in their designated district within Central Ontario Accounts. Regions will be balanced from time to time among sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage dealer activity within a specified territory through daily interaction with Suzuki dealers
- Grow the business by building new business partnerships with dealerships in Central Ontario working closely with National Sales Manager
- Manage the implementation of SCI-sponsored programs within the district to achieve assigned goals
- Present front-line representation of corporate goals, policies and procedures to enhance the dealer body, market penetration and brand image of Suzuki.
- Booking target achievement for all product lines
- Monthly product allocation and reconciliation
- Monthly co-op allocation and reconciliation
- Provide or coordinate Suzuki Product training
- Coordinate and attend corporate consumer shows
- Support dealerships with information on parts and accessories, rigging and other related marine requirements
- Support dealerships with issues related to warranties
- Develop plans to reach targeted market share through the setup and management of dealerships in the district
We are seeking candidates who provide the following expertise and competencies:
- Graduate of a business/sales or marketing program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Minimum 5 years of business-to-business sales experience
- Knowledge of Suzuki product and competitive product knowledge an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Demonstrated expertise in time management and organizational skills
- A valid province driver’s license is a job requirement and is vital to perform job functions
- Ability to travel 4 days a week in assigned territory with overnight stays required
